To the citizens of Beaver,

I want you to know that the Town Board and myself as Mayor and our staff have been to meetings almost daily with professionals concerning this worldwide virus. The steps we are taking are done with much thought and knowledge that we gain from the professional medical and legal information.

The test for this is NOT readily available to our community or to anyone in Oklahoma. The best thing you can do is social distancing and stay away from group activities.

We have closed the Town office, services are available by calling 580-625-3331, and our transportation is not running at the current time. This was done to help protect our citizens and staff.

We what to express our appreciation to our Grocery businesses and other retail business for their attempt to provide product to our community and the extra cleaning that is going on to help stem this situation.

This virus emergency will not be ending in two weeks. I would hope a month maybe but very well could go on months.

Please check with doctor's office and hospital before just showing up if possible.

We will make it through this if we all try to respect each other's space, and all work together.

We would like to thank everyone for their understanding during this time of health emergency.

Mayor Kirk A. Fisher
